Presentation by Platform Beeldende Kunst, Amsterdam

Within the framework of DACS – Hollandia, királyság! (a Dutch cultural festival in Budapest), FKSE partners with the Amsterdam-based Platform Beeldende Kunst (PBK) to realize a lecture at the Studio Gallery on 6 November.
Two founding members of PBK, artists Yuri Veerman and Rune Peitersen will present the institutional structure of PBK, introduce the Dutch independent art scene, and reflect on issues of funding within contemporary art in the Dutch context.

Platform Beeldende Kunst is a strategic coalition that mobilizes existing networks and maps out new connections in order to develop a foundation for joint action and spokemanship. PBK’s aim is to positively affect the current perception and public opinion of arts and culture; to influence political decision-making in conjunction with existing Dutch interest groups, and to put forward new logics that can (re)define the significance of art.

The event forms part of the DACS – Hollandia, királyság! program series, organized with the support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
